OUR HISTORY
La Loggia is deeply intertwined with the history of Italy and Florence. In 1864, when Florence was designated the capital of the Kingdom of Italy, the city underwent significant urban transformations, including the lengthening of its streets and the demolition of old walls. In this context, architect Giuseppe Poggi designed Piazzale Michelangelo, a space destined to connect the city to the Arno River with a majestic structure designed as a terrace to display some of Michelangelo’s most significant works.
Today, La Loggia is our restaurant, inheriting the elegance and historical significance of this cultural epicenter. A symbol of modernization and a celebration of Italian identity, La Loggia continues to be a cultural and artistic landmark in the heart of Florence.

Founded in 2017 alongside the Ristorante Cocktail Bar La Loggia, the Associazione Culturale Caprarè reflects the legacy of the Caprarè family, who have been grateful to Florence, the land of their ancestors, for generations. After years of success promoting Florence, the family decided to restore the structure to its original use and cultural charm.
The association is committed to bringing the art of La Loggia to life, organizing exhibitions and events by local and international artists.
La Loggia has thus become not only a space for lovers of fine dining but also a space for those who value its historical and artistic essence, as envisioned by its creators.
